'Pure Flora' Exhibition

The Black Mountain Center for the Arts invites artists to submit work for our upcoming exhibition, Pure Flora. This show aims to celebrate the physical beauty of plants, botanicals, and flowers, and to capture the impact they have on our lives. This exhibition will be featured in our gallery the month before our annual Art in Bloom exhibition as a lead in and celebration of this year’s 20th Anniversary of Art in Bloom.
We seek artists with varied backgrounds, who represent the wealth of talent and diversity in our region. Interested artists may submit original artwork for consideration. We will accept 2D work in all mediums including paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, fiber, and mixed media, as well as 3D work in ceramics, fibers, metal, wood and/or other sculptural materials. Experimental styles will be considered. Original interpretations of the theme are welcomed.
The exhibit will be on display in the Gallery at the Black Mountain Center for the Arts from May 1 - May 22. Selected artists will drop off their piece at BMCA on April 27 or 28.
2026 ArtPop Artist Cohort

Spring Fest Exhibition

Spring Fest at Mooresville Arts. This is a JUDGED show opportunity and competition, not a juried show opportunity. As long as the submitted artwork meets the criteria specified in the show prospectus and presentation guidelines, work will be accepted at intake and included in the exhibit. Please read the entire prospectus for complete information.
IMPORTANT SHOW UPDATE: Due to the growing volume of artists who participate in this show, the amount of artists will be limited to sixty-five (65) artists who can submit for this opportunity. 'All the Fixins: Artists from the South' Exhibition

All the Fixins: Artists from the South is a juried exhibition showcasing the phenomenal artistic talent of artists living and working in the South. All the Fixins will take place at the Reeves House Visual Arts Center from May 8 – July 4, 2026. Susan Bridges, the Director/Owner of Whitespace Gallery, will review artist submissions to determine which work will be shown and which artworks will receive awards for first ($500), second ($250), and third place ($100).
2027 Exhibitions at Pullen

Pullen Arts Center is looking for artists applications for three (3) themed group exhibitions in 2027. Group shows are curated by Pullen Arts Center, and will generally include 3-5 artists, depending on theme and work submitted. Show titles and themes are up to artist interpretation. No specific medium or art-style has been kept in mind for these themes, and no singular analysis of themes is expected.
2027 exhibition themes: Metamorphosis: studies in change (February - April 2027), Awake and Aware: our senses as a guide (May - July 2027), and The Ways We Remember: rituals, stories, memorials (August - October 2027)
ArtFields 2026 'Wet Paint' Competition

This event will be held across 3 days April 16, 17, and 18 from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM with awards selected by judge Paula Holtzclaw on April 18. Choose your day to start painting, and enter you work for a chance to compete for the following awards: $1000 for first place, $700 for second place, and $300 for third place. When you are completely finished with your work, take your work and your easel to the designated drop-off site and all artworks will be judged on Saturday, April 18th at 5pm.
This year, the Moore Farms Botanical Garden is an official painting site!
Macon Mural Festival 2026

The goal of the 2026 Macon Mural Festival (MMF) is to brand Macon, GA as a vibrant and creative destination. This year, we are looking for artists to participate in this 3-day event. Each participating artist will be given a prepped wall to complete their mural and a $2,000 stipend plus $250 for supplies. The Festival will also provide lodging for all artists.
"Exploration” Exhibition

"Exploration” will be an in-person juried exhibition running from May 2 – June 13, 2026 at the Visual and Performing Arts Center (VAPA) in Charlotte, North Carolina. All works juried into the show must be hand delivered and picked up. The submission deadline will be on April 8, 2026. The exhibition’s theme of Exploration may include—but is not limited to—physical journeys, exploring new materials and techniques, cultural discovery, scientific inquiry, emotional terrain, environmental themes, or abstract interpretations. Artists are encouraged to take a broad interpretation of the theme and create art that invites viewers to consider what it means to explore. All works must first be juried into the show through the online submissions and then they will be judged in person, with cash prizes offered for first through third place, as well as honorable mention. A reception for the show will be held on May 2nd from 3pm – 5pm where prizes will be announced. The works will be prominently displayed on the second floor of the VAPA Center from May 2, 2026 - June 13, 2026, where they will be available for public viewing and purchase.
