18th Annual Weaverville Art in Autumn Festival

The Eighteenth annual Art in Autumn Outdoor Arts and Crafts Festival takes place Saturday, September 20, 2025, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Main Street in Downtown Weaverville, North Carolina, located in Buncombe county 7 miles from downtown Asheville. Sponsored by the Weaverville Business Association, the festival features 114 juried artists and craftspeople and live music. In recent years, Weaverville has established itself as a culturally rich destination point, with its now well-established street festival each September. It has earned a reputation for its quaint atmosphere, artistic spirit, and distinctive shops and restaurants.

NC Artists Exhibition

'Consumed' Exhibition at The Scarp Exchange

For our upcoming exhibit, Consumed, we are looking for unconventional reuse artwork that cleverly integrates the detritus of overconsumption—things that are broken, cast aside, single use plastics, missing parts, etc—materials that are no longer desirable and/or at the end of their life cycle. We want to inspire our customers with unique techniques for repurposing our materials, to show them things they haven't seen before and expand their idea of what is possible.

The format for this exhibit will highlight a small collection of works from 6-10 artists. All mediums are welcome and jurying will be based on the cohesiveness of the work presented, as well as the uniqueness of the artist’s approach. The final collection of pieces by each artist will need to fit into a roughly 6 cubic foot area.

Pop Culture Small Works Show

The Art of Fiber Exhibition

The Art of Fiber is a themed exhibit, inspired by the medium and subject matter of fiber. The theme is up to the artist’s interpretation, and he/she may submit any work as long as it fits somehow with the media of fiber arts. All fine art and fine craft media is eligible, including but not limited to: screen-printing, embroidery, quilting, weaving, knitting, felting, rug hooking, crochet, macrame, silk painting, tatting, mini loom, spinning, and bobbin lace. This exhibit will be displayed in the Depot’s Center Gallery.

The Painting Center is seeking submissions for the juried group exhibition "Let Nature In" curated by Kathleen Beausoleil and Shazzi Thomas. The exhibition will be held in person and on Artsy from July 22 – August 16, 2025, with an opening reception on July 24. "Let Nature In" will feature contemporary artists who continue to engage with the natural world by offering fresh perspectives on our ever-evolving relationship with its environment. From the earliest cave paintings of trees and plants to the intricate floral motifs of 10th-century Eastern art, nature has been a constant source of creativity - an open invitation to reflect and create.

The event will be free and open to the public August 16, 17, with an exclusive Opening Reception on Friday, August 15th, providing attendees the first opportunity to view and purchase featured artworks. From fleeting instants to the perpetual flow of the years, Time is an elusive yet powerful concept. It dictates our daily rhythms, ages our bodies, and leaves marks on both the world and our minds. It is ever-changing, never static.

We encourage submissions that explore Time in any of its complex dimensions: personal, historical, emotional, or conceptual. This is an opportunity to showcase how photography can freeze moments, convey the relentless march of time, or reflect on the cyclical nature of existence. The top three submissions will be awarded an exhibition at the American Center for Photographers slated for 2026.

Want to contribute your creative talents to Midtown’s success and be part of something fun? Submit your original artwork and we'll produce it on a street banner for everyone to see! Banners will be created with artist name & IG handle, put up for one year in Midtown, and then returned to the artist.

The Charlotte Chalk Art Festival (CCAF), a FREE, family-friendly two-day festival, will be held at NoDa Brewing Company North End, 150 W 32nd St, Charlotte, NC 28206, on October 18th and 19th from 12pm to 5pm each day.

CCAF features a street chalk art competition for ages 12-17 and 18+.

Festival goers will watch and cheer on the competitors and the artists creating the street chalk art gallery while enjoying various art-focused activities, music, and performance offerings, patronizing our curated arts, crafts, retail, food, and beverage vendors.
